Sometimes, when I look at the Qur’an, I simply smile, and shake my head in amusement. Such an amazing piece of document! The noble Qur’an is the only book that has remained for over 14 hundred years without the slightest change in its words or letters. It is a book that enjoys Divine protection from all forms of corruption such as, interpolation or lacuna, distortion, as well as variations in its contents.

In fact, the Qur’an has no versions, no reviews, and no editions. What more? Millions of Muslims all over the world, from the young to the old, and from the males to the females have committed the Qur’an to memory with different recitation methods and styles; from Sudaisi to Shuraim to Maahir Al-Mu’aiqili, to Jaabir, et cetera.

Today, our mastery of the Qur’an is so perfect that if anyone were to, advertently or inadvertently replace a ‘ha’ vowel sound with ‘hi’ or ‘hu’, we will easily detect the error and call his attention to it. If he makes assimilation where he is expected to expose the sound, we will know. And if he mistakenly omits a word or sentence from any part of the Qur’an, we will immediately notify him to make necessary corrections.

The messages of the Qur’an, from the scientific to the political to the social to the economic and religious have been subjected to rigorous observations and have been verified to be Divine and factual. Its messages have survived all times and ages. They apply to our lives yesterday, today and even tomorrow.

Please, show me any book, religious or philosophical, scientific or political that has survived a quarter of the existence of the Qur’an, and that has maintained such level of authenticity and correctness. Show me that book that has not been reviewed and revised, faulted and debunked.

When you find one, notify me. But if you haven’t found any, and you can never find any, then accept the Qur’an as the greatest book ever sent to mankind!!
